DirectX problems

When I'm using the DirectX Diagnostic Tool it tells me Netmeeting is running. But it isn't. Not in Task Manager and not even in
Services.

These are the "Notes" from the tests.
NetMeeting is running. Direct3D hardware acceleration may not work until NetMeeting is shut down.
DirectDraw test results: All tests were successful.
Direct3D 7 test results: Failure at step 8 (Creating 3D Device): HRESULT = 0x8007000e (Out of memory)Direct3D 8 test results:
Failure at step 5 (GetDeviceCaps): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)Direct3D 9 test results: Failure at step 5
(GetDeviceCaps): HRESULT = 0x8876086a (3D not available)

I just downloaded DirectX from Microsoft a few days ago. Any ideas anybody?

There are programs and some spyware/virus's that will make DX think
netmeeting is running
as you have discovered....... shut down all you can to see if you can locate
it. Scan system
with virus checker (several free programs and on-line versions are
available) and use Adaware,
SpyBot, and such.

If no joy, a couple of tools to help.

Window Watcher - FREE

Download GOLD version - 30 day free trial - the absolute best utility to
help create CLEAN
or Specific Load boots.
