DirectX error

Everytiem I run any DirectX game, I get an rror from my
monitor saying "frequency over range." I think this is a
DirectX bug. I have reinstalled DX, and reinstalled the
games I was getting the errors with. Neither fixed it. Is
there some way to set the frequency that DirectX runs at?

Reset your refresh rate to a lower frequency - one that is viewable
and does not cause the screen raster to "blink". If that doesn't
help, then you may have to replace the video card to one that is able
to handle fast DirectX games. Never set your monitor refresh rate to
other than the maker's recommendations. Check the manual.
