Directplay8 errors On DirectX 9b..please help

it started with dungeon siege not working on lan, and i
get errors in directplay8 window in dxdiag everytime i
install directx 9b... i have tried all versions updated
everthing reinstall xp.. and still same problem wont let
me play lan games now...but still conects both comps with
net fine... please be great if someone can help me i have
tried everything...

Try running "regsvr32 dpnet.dll" at a command prompt or using the Run dialog.
