directcd. error

when i sign up my computer i rec'd a msg. that said the application failed to initialize properly (0x0000142, click on ok to terminate the application and now my computer freeze on me alot help . what does that mean and what do i do. thank you

Reinstall EZCD Creator and ensure you have the latest updates for your
version from www.roxio.com. Remember that only versions 5 and above work
with XP and v5 requires updates to even be able to begin to work correctly.

EZCD creator has gone way downhill

I would personally remove it completely and remove direct cd and use another quality program.

I have both EZ CD DVD Creator v6 and EMC v7 and both work fine. Perhaps
your's are not configured correctly.
