direct shutdown

Hi
I have recently installed windows 2000 pro.
On shut down it tells me 'it is now safe to turn off the
computer'.
My old system shut down directly without having to touch
the power button and I would like to do this with 2000.

make sure your advanced power management is enabled. this
can be found in your desktop properties and in your bios
setup.
