Dimage Scanspeed and Windows XL

I have a problem, and I wonder if anyone has a recommendation on how to
proceed. I have a Dimage Scanspeed film scanner that I really enjoy using,
however, it quit working when I installed the SCSI 2 card into a new
computer with Windows XL.

I contacted Minolta, and they told me the device had no SCSI 2 drivers for
XL. I know that there are converter cables that connect SCSI to USB. Is
that an option for me, or would the lack of a driver still render the
scanner useless?

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe that is because you do not know what your operating system is.

THERE IS NO XL.

However if you have Windows XP Home or Pro, you get a SCSI 2 card that fits
your scanner and works in your computer and Windows XP. Install the SCSI
card driver if needed, and install the TWAIN driver for the Minolta
ScanSpeed Scanner.

Download the driver here.

Egads, you're right. I don't know why I typed XL. Thanks, though.
According to Minolta's site they have corrected their driver so that XP is
now supported. I guess they heard from enough ticked off users like me to
do something about it.
