Digitalpersona 2.0 / MS Fingerprint reader

When will this beta driver become available?? What must one do to become a
beta tester....??! It's so annoying that my recently bought Microsoft
Fingerprint Reader won't work knowing that a functional vista driver
exists...!

What are you suggesting? This sounds like whining to me! You are never
going to get 100% instant driver support for a Beta operating system that is
still in development and testing.

If you're unhappy with a Beta OS, then take it off your computer and quit
sounding like a 2 or 3 year old whining because you didn't get what you
wanted INSTANTLY!!!

No need to get nasty... It's the fact that the driver does exist, but there
is no way to get acces to it that bother me... NOt the waiting in itself

Usually when something like a driver is in development a
version won't be released until the programmers have gotten
to a stage where the driver is reasonably stable and that is
why you don't have access to it. It unstable and buggy
drivers were released prematurely then people would complain
about it not being ready for release.

It's like the saying "No wine before it's time" so "no
driver before it's time."

I disagree on that one Theo. I was willing to deal with bugs when I got
Vista, which is also in development, and I am equally willing to test a beta
of the fingerprint driver (on my own responsability - as with vista). If it
did not exist I would not complain and patiently wait for the final release.
But it does exist. And it is said to work just fine. Give it to me now

Hi,

As we CPP users seem to be unable to access the beta driver for our
fingerprint reader has anyone tried the driver and software from Griaule. The
driver is compatible with the MS reader. The problem I have is that Vista
will not allow me to install the program for the reader. Anyone else tried
this any feedback welcome?
