MS Fingerprint reader

Is there any way to get rid of the fingerprint icon while working with the
Sidebar gadgets? It is very distracting, blocking the controls and has no use
in gadgets.

I seem te be able to reply with a solution on my own post. After some
experimenting, setting
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DigitalPersona\Applications\OTAppSettings\FeedbackIconPosition to 'None' solved it.
