Digital Signature - after plain text to HTML

Does anyone know why Outlook 2003 won't auto-insert my digital signature when
I choose to convert a reply from plain text into HTML to send? Can I program
Outlook to *always* reply in HTML so that I don't have this problem? If not,
is there a manual workaround so that I can choose my digital signature from
somewhere in the Menuing system? Thanks.

Hi Gregory,
Don't know the why ( the outlook MVPs and specialist users would have have
deeper debug knowledge that I so may be able to help )

For myself, and clients, I customize the toolbar ( alternate mouse-click >
Customize ) and add the Signature button.
You can then select the signature to add ( If you have several ). - Comes in
handy as you can "build up" an e'Mail adding Disclaimers, Addresses,
delivery addresses, all sorts of "Blocks" of text automajically.

Thanks, Henry, but now that you've given me the 'official' term to search the
Internet on, I see that what I am asking for is impossible. I cannot do what
you describe because I use Word as my email editor.

My frustration with Microsoft is not so much the bugs and strange
idiosyncrasies with their software as it is the process similar to pulling
teeth to find help. Hey, if there is a feature doesn't work right or is
unavailable altogether, then why not just say so?

For example, if you go into the Help system for email signatures, you can
find something for 'Add Signature,' 'Delete Signature,' and 'Edit Signature.'
Why does nothing come up when you enter 'Insert Signature' into the search
box?

This whole thing cost me two days of research (including your generous time)
to discover that I can't do something in the software. (I found a workaround
from Sue Mosher to use AutoText to insert the signatures.) When will
Microsoft learn that each and evry Menu entry and object label - what the
user *sees* should be available in the Help system *exactly* as displayed??

Thanks.
