Signature formatting lost when replying to plain text emails

Hi,

Whenever I try to reply to an email which is formatted in plain text
Outlook forces the reply in plain text. I know the recipient can view
HTML formatted emails. I click on reply and change the text type to
HTML but my signature has already been defaulted to plain text. Is
there a way to change it so that the signature can take it's orignal
format when replying to a plain text email?

I am using Outlook 2002 SP3 and Win XP Pro.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks
Steve

No, you'll need to insert it yourself. FWIW, its poor netiquette to change
the format unless you have a valid reason - and formatting the signature
isn't valid enough. Bullet points and highlighting text in a reply is a
valid reason. The sender may be able to accept HTML normally but reads
email on a mobile phone which does not support HTML or charges by the byte.
