Digital Image Suite Edition 2006

I just purchased this software, because it advertizes RAW supporrt for Canon
and Nikon cameras.
It does, but the RAW support is not complete. Canon 20D is supported, but
the hugely popular Canon 350D (a.k.a. Rebel XT) is not supported. All my
holiday pictures from a recent trip to Borneo as show as blanks/your file
format not supported.
BTW: The RAW image support Powertoy does support this format. It evidently
is more up to date.
Questions to Microsoft ( US and Netherlands are met with stony silence.

Your assessment is correct.

A response I received from the Picture It! Team
is pasted below and I have no advance info that
an update will be released.

=======================
The inability to support XT RAW files is due to
the SDK for said file format being released later
than DIS 2006 was released to manufacturing.
At this time, no updates have been announced.

The RAW viewer was released much later (since
it was a web release), so it was able to incorporate
the latest SDK from Canon. That's why it includes
support for the XT.

sThanks. So there I am stuck with a next year edition that does not even
incorporate support for 2005 camera's. That's life!

Well, at least you were not greeted with a "stony silence".

Maybe you could return the program?
