Picasa v2.1.0 Build 27.60

Overview :

Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the
pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates
all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into
visual albums organized by date with folder names you know. You can drag
and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups.
Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized. Picasa also makes
advanced editing simple by putting one-click fixes and powerful effects
at your fingertips. And Picasa makes it a snap to share your pictures -
you can email, print at home, make gift CDs, instantly share via Hello,
and even put pictures on your own blog.

What's New:

# Multiple languages
# New "BlogThis!" button allows you to post one photo at a time directly
to the Blogger.com web editor without going through the Hello software
# Print CD covers - Print perfectly sized photo CD covers at home
# Added support for more makes and RAW file types: Canon (.CRW, .CR2),
Nikon (.NEF), Olympus (.ORF), Pentax (.PEF), Kodak (.DCR), Sony (.SRF),
Minolta (.MRW), and Fuji (.RAF)
# "Import" button takes photos off these cameras: Canon EOS Digital Rebel
XT, aka the 350D(.CR2); Pentax *istDS(.PEF); and Konica/Minolta Maxxum7D,

Kind regards,

System requirements for the latest release include Windows 2K or XP
only. So, if you're using any flavor of Windows 9x, this update is not
for you.

With all respect to Arjan:

IMO that Google makes the program so that it's only able to be installed
on XP and 2K is Microsoft ass-kissing of the worst kind. Not only that,
but given Google's propensity for pushing advertising, I would be loath
to install that program on my system without first being able to read
its EULA and privacy statement. For instance, just check out the privacy
statement for Google's Web Accelerator:

http://webaccelerator.google.com/privacy.html

or Google Desktop:

http://desktop.google.com/privacypolicy.html

However, you CAN read the Google privacy policy that applies to *"all of
the products, services and websites offered by Google Inc. or its
subsidiaries or affiliated companies (collectively, Google's 'services')*:

http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html

Even if I *had* 2K or XP, I wouldn't install any Google software on my
system if you held a loaded gun to my head. Besides, there are too many
good freeware alternatives to Picasa.
