I just purchased a new Dell 3000 using Windows XP and I can not get my
Vivitar camera to download. It tells me to look for a removable disc in
MY Computer folder and then click on the DCIM file. I can not find
either one. My old HP never had this problem. Once I clicked on MY
Computer I found everything. Please help as Dell won't since it is not
their camera.

You don't mention the cameras model.

Assuming it's a USB camera.
Plug the USB cable into the pc's USB port and the camera.
Turn the camera on and you should get a message "Vivtar USB device found", then
"installing......".
Next you should get a window asking what to use to view/download the files.

If the above doesn't occur then install the drivers for the camera per the
manufacturers instructions.
If still no joy, check in the BIOS to see if USB is Enabled.
