Digital Camera/Web Cam

When ever I put in my digital camera I can get my
pictures easily, but when I try and use it as a webcam a
blue screen pops up saying that theres a hardware
error.....and I have to restart my computer would my USB
cables be the problem? because I have the USB cable that
came with the camera and a 2.0 USB port...I have a SiPix
Digital camera http://sipixdigital.com I also used this
camera as a webcam in my old computer with windows xp
proffessional I have the home edition now...
