different drive installation

why is it that you can only download programs that take
so much room to the c drive? I tried to download this
program creativity_bdpfull and it wipes my remainding c
drive away, when I have all this room on the d drive.
is it anyway to have it download to my d drive? help
please.
 
You can usually install (which is what I think you mean when you say
download) to any drive you have, most install programs allow you to choose
where to install. However, even when you do that, most programs still use
some space on the C: drive because they need to install some items into
the Windows folders...

Hey,

What OS and web browser/download manager do you use please?

If your using the normal IE 5.x/6.x browser you should be able to choose the
saveing location fairly easily...
