Difference between Paragraph and Character Setting

B

Bill Gruener

I know and use Styles and Formatting and use paragraph settings in the Modify
Style dialog box. In the Style type box, I choose between Paragraph and
Character.

Can anyone tell me both the difference between the Paragraph style type and
the Character style type and the results of the two choices?

Pointers to articles or after-market books will help.

Thanks

Paragraph styles are applied to entire paragraphs and apply paragraph and
font formatting. Character styles are applied to selected text and apply
only font (and language) formatting.
