differance, word 2003/office 2003

I thought my comp. had word 2003 and I need it for school, I can't find it now.
Instead I see microsoft office 2003 is this the same thing?

Word 2003 is basically a part of Office 2003

Word is a single program. Office is a collection of programs. If you click
on Office, there should be a fly out that tells you which programs are on
your computer. You could also look at your computer receipt.
