Dear all,
Sorry I have no idea if this is the correct forum but if it is not
please point me in the right direction - thanks. So here goes, I wish to
from within some VB6 code create a dial-up that has the ICF turned on no
matter the running PC's settings (assuming it is XP of course). I just can't
seem to find the solution to this seemingly simple problem.

thanks

You could use Tweakui to hide the elements of Control Panel that would make
it easy to turn off the ICF..

um.. I don't want to mess with the users system in any way just create a
dialup, with firewall enabled, use it , then delete it. It's the enabeling
of the firewall thats the problem. But yes thanks for your tip keeping the
clients/users away from things they should not be messing with is always
good :)

If you go to the 'advanced' tab of the dialup connection properties, you can
check the box that will activate the XP firewall such that every time you
log on to the internet, the firewall will be operational..
