Hi
I have a single PC with 5 users, no network, dial up only, running XP
Pro SP2.
I have a recurring problem in that my dialup settings keep changing.
Under "Internet Options" on the connections tab, in the Dial Up and VPN
settings area, for some reason the setting keeps reverting back to
"Never dial a connection"
I keep setting it on "Always dial my default connection" but after a
couple of restarts/days it changes back.
There is an unused built in ethernet adaptor on my motherboard (which
is an ASUS A7V400-MX in case it makes a difference) but I have disabled
it in Windows and it is not connected to anything anyway.
When this setting change happens it doesn't look for the LAN either it
just does nothing.
I am usually alerted to it happening when I start up IE or Outlook
Express and they don't dial up.
If anyone has any ideas on how to stop this happening I would be very
grateful.
