dial up connectoid connects but unable to reach webs sites

Hello

Can anyone shed light on thi

2 different connectoids to ISP - both dial out OK and connect to ISP. I receive IP address etc, network connected icon appears etc

However when attempting to view websites, dns error page cannot be displayed, happens for all pages, happedns for both ISP and all user

Cannot nslookup sites or ping site

A lot of spyware was removed prior to thi

Running IE 6.0.2800 XP SP

Should I reinstall IE or is a rebuild on the cards

Hi

Have you checked your TCP/IP settings to see if they are correct? How far can you ping before getting 'Request timed out' - trying the following:

localhost
Your computer's IP Address
The IP Address of your router or Default Gateway
The Address of your DNS Server.
Well known web site - but not Microsoft.
