Dial Up Connection Keeps Dialing up

I am running a Windows 2000 system and throughout the day something is
automatically dialing my connection externally. At first I thought it was
the auto live update in Norton Anti Virus but I have switched this off and
it is still happening.

Is there a way of searching for what is telling the PC to dial up?
