Dial Up Connection Dialog

when i'm not connected to the web my dial up connection
dialog keeps popping up. if i'm gone away from the
machine for five mins there is about 75 of these dialogs.
any idea how to stop them?

theres really a couple things you can do depending on how much effort
you want to put in things.

first is you computer networked running ICS(IP requests of host could
cause connection attempts.

second are any programs requiring an Internet connection (e.g. outlook
outlook express) or any TSR's that require an Internet connection?

*If* the two criterea above is false then something else *could* be
accessing the Internet try a virus scan; and disable autoconnect in
Internet options. on the connect tab in internet options remove the
dot from always connect, to never dial a connection
