Dial-out RAS

S

Scott Compton

We have an application that requires users to make a dial-up connection. Is
it possible to configure a Win2000 server to do dial-out only? I was lloking
at installing an 8-port modem card so users can share the modems dialing
out. Is this possible and how does the client (win2000pro) need to be
configured to access the dial-out modems?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

For dial in you have to configure RRAS. If you don't configure RRAS dial in
isnt enabled by default.

You can goto Network Folders to dial out. After creating hte connectoid you
can choose the modem to use by changing the properties.

I have the same problem, but i don´t understand how the
software choose the right connection.
I need to send a ping to some external host and the RRAS
dial the right connection sharing the modems pool.
