\\.\di error when using the disable function of ewf

I have a build that works on both HDD and CF. It is NTFS, compressed. Just added the EWF files per info I have found on this site and Sean Liming's book. I am trying to get the ewfmgr commands to work. Am using a HDD right now. Once I get all changes done I intend to reseal the HDD and move to CF. When I type ewfmgr c: disable I get "Unable to open the target device \\.\di". What am I missing?

Paul,

There are a couple of different ways to get EWF running on CF. It sounds
like your using the steps outlined in the below MSDN article. Is this
correct?

If you are coping the image from the HDD to CF, did you run ETPREP to delete
the EWF Volume?
