DHCPNACK after re-booting modem and Windows XP Pro

Hello,
I have US Robotics ADSL 2+ router with Windows XP Professional SP2.

Everytime i reboot modem and i restart Windows XP after rebooting
modem, i got an error message in "event viewer" DHCP event id: 1002

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Dhcp
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1002
Date: 11/12/2005
Time: 10:18:19 AM
User: N/A
Computer: GUY-69BQBR8MNMC
Description:
The IP address lease 192.168.1.2 for the Network Card with network
address xxxxxx has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP

Server sent a DHCPNACK message).

I use 1 computer with add-on cardbus Realtek ethernet adapter? DHCP
server of my modem is active and functioning. So what could be the
reasons? Could be a defective hardware?

note: I use one ADSL router with one computer, there's no
second active computer on the net. I only recevie that message, after
rebooting modem, then re-launching Windows XP. If the modem is stayed
turned on, or OS is turned on there is no problem.

As i mentioned, i get that message when i reboot my modem and computer
both...

Please help....

Hi Wesley,
thank you for your care, as you gave the links, the event id message is
similiar the links related to Microsoft which you gave.

I tried 2 different modems and the message is the same, so there's
nothing hardware related.

Thank you.

I think that the error finds its way into the Event Viewer too soon.
