I have a XP workstation which does not receive an IP
address from a W2K server. I have activated the W2K
server. All workstations are connected to a LinkSys
router.
 
Check if the nic is set to obtain an IP from the DHCP-server automatically.
Does your server do the DNS and DHCP?
Check that the Firewall on the XP is turned off.
