I have a DHCP server on a 192.168.100.x network and I have
a DHCP server on a 192.168.200.x network.

If the 100.x server is down, my 100.x clients will receive
an IP address from the 200.x server.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening.

I assume there is a router in between the 2 networks.
You need to turn off the dhcp forwarding (I think that's what it's
called) on the router.
How you accomplish this depends on the type of router you have.

on cisco, it's "no ip helper-address" to turn off the forwarding service
compeletely.

I don't remember how you accomplish this on windows.
You had to remove a check mark on NT server.
