DHCP server????

At our company we have two domain controllers, DC1 and DC2. DC1 is our DHCP
server. Is there anyway that when DC1 goes down for upgrades or
maintanence, that DC2 could take over for DHCP requests? I guess what I
would like to know is if both domain controllers can serve the same scope.

You don't want two DHCP servers servicing the same scope. But you can
configure DC2 w/ a separate scope to service clients while the DHCP server
on DC1 is down. You would want to look at this as a temp. migration from
one scope to another. You will need to divide your IP pool of addresses so
that each scope is servicing it's own pool. This will require either
additional IP's or you will need to reconfigure the original scope to
provide the addtional IP's for the new scope.
