DHCP Release...

One of the office employees brings his laptop from home & gets an IP address
via DHCP. He also is using DHCP at home with a cable router. Yesterday when
he came ito work, his laptop still had the home-based DHCP settings, causing
an address conflict, as well as not allowing him to get to the internet (we
have different default gateway numbers). Is there a registry setting that
can be changed to cause a DHCP release on shutdown?
Thanks-

I was thinking more along the lones of a batch file or script that would
release the address on shutdown.
Is that possible?
