DHCP & RAS

I have a win2000 server which is the domain controller, dhcp server and
setup as a Terminal server. I also have two win2003 servers (SQL ans
application) and another two win2000 server.

For some reason the one of the other win2000 server and one of the win2003
servers keep taking IP addresses from the dhcp server for RAS. We don't have
any modems setup for dialing in or out, we have a VPN which goes to the main
server.

Is there anyway I can control the IP's going to the RAS?

That is the way it is supposed to be. Every RRAS "Port" (PPPoE, PPTP, L2TP,
whatever) all get assigned an IP#. RRAS will "gather" an IP# for each port
from the DHCP Server.

Reduce the number of RRAS Ports to the number you require. If you only
expect a maximum of 5 PPTP simultaneous connections and no L2TP and no PPPoE
connections than set the number of ports to:

PPTP = 5
L2TP = 1
PPPoE = 1

In fact you reminded me of this and mine was set to:
PPTP = 128
L2TP = 128
....so I set mine down to 5 and 1.

In the Routing and Remote Access "MMC" on the machine running RRAS.
