Win2000 DHCP Server and WinXP

My problem is as follows - I have one Win2000 DHCP server and Win9x and WinXP
client machines. When Win9x registers on DHCP server there is no problem, but
when WinXP takes IP address it works as a RAS server it means that it takes
one IP for him and one or more IP's for the fake clients. I want to give to
each WinXP machine only one address because my scope is limited. And by
default there is incomming connection(it's installed from the setup even if
WinXP has no modem) set in WinXP so when any of my WinXP clients connect to
DHCP it takes minimum 2 IP. Is it a mistake in my DHCP to give IP to fake RAS
servers or it can be set somehow? Where is the problem in Win2000 DHCP, WinXP
clients or in me? :)))

Hi Ivan,
There is no mistake anywhere. All the components: DHCP server and the
WinXP are doing are they are supposed to. The problem is that, to the best
of knowledge, one cannot refrain an WinXp machine from getting that extra IP
address for the fake client if it has a incoming connection configured.
Right now, if you really want to save that one extra IP address, you need to
delete the Incoming connection.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
