DHCP Omits IP Addresses

I have a DHCP scope with no reservations and no exlcusions. It goes from 192.168.X.2-192.168.X.254. We only have about 79 clients on the network, but one by one the clients are starting to not be able to see the internet. They can still browse the network, but NO internet. I know how to resolve the issue by adding a reservation and letting the client have a specified IP, but I don't want to have to do that. Anyone have any thoughts?

Also, the IP Range is not pulling about 150 IP addresses. Clients will get .2-.50 and .193-.254, but there are no clients pulling from .51-.192. This seems weird to me as I assign one of these unassignable IP's and everything is fine. The clients can browse the network and the Internet. Any help with this would be appreciated.

I would first standardize the Scope by giving it the full range x.1 -- x.254
and then use Excusions for the ones you don't want handed out. This does
the same job as what you have, but will give more flexability in the future.
For example, you will never have to "delete & recreate" the scope again to
make certain changes.

The Internet:
First I need to know how you access the internet to begin with and how you
control who has access and who doesn't.

Do you use Scope Options or Server Options? What are the Router (Default
Gateway), DNS, and WINS settings in those options? Are you sure they are
correct? Are the clients getting them properly? Use "ipconfig /all" on a
problem machine to find out.

The way you do your DNS can cause problems too. You should have all
machines use the AD/DNS only. The AD/DNS Server points to itself (or
127.0.0.1). Then on the AD/DNS add the ISP's DNS as a "forwarder" in your
DNS's "Forwarder's List".
