Guest

Hi,

I need to export the dhcp mdb from a domain controller that is failing ,
but i'm confuse because I read the article
- id: 130642 (How to move a DHCP database from one server to another in
Windows NT 4.0 and in Windows 2000)
and I readed too the article about Dhcpexim Toll to migrate scopes !

The question is what does is the most trust and reliable method to move the
dhcp databse from one server to other

Thanks any comments !!

One note, make sure you use the latest version of the import/export tool.
The older version used to not activate the scopes in the registry and then
you will have to go back to the registry and manually activate each one. I
believe that is after 1/2004. I have had to do this multiple times and the
first couple of times (before it was corrected) we had to reset 50+ subnets
in the registry.

Best of luck.
