Hi

Try this:

- Download/Install CCleaner, www.ccleaner.com

- Download/Install Lavasofts Adaware

http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022-10319876.html?tag=list

* Also watch the video from Cnet about Adware within page
for best result.*

- Download Winsockfix, just a precaution if you loose your LSP.

- Restart in *safe mode*, press F8 during reboot

- Run CCcleaner and remove all temporarily junk.

- Run Adaware, fullscan

- Run MSAS, fullscan

- Restart

I do not understand what you mean by "local service directory".

Temporary files of the form ~DF????.tmp can be created by Microsoft
AntiSpyware itself, but in your Temp directory, where they should not
disturb you.

I agree with Robin Walker. If you are seeing a pair of these files for each
invocation of Microsoft Antispyware, this is a bug. However, they shouldn't
be disruptive of the functioning of your machine. Feel free to delete those
not in use on a given day by whatever means is most convenient.

Are you sure it is MSAS creating these files?. On my
system the only software that creates pairs of these each
time it runs is Diskeeper pro 9, in my account's \local
settings\temp folder. You can delete all but the latest
pair (which are in use).

They are from VCOM System Suite (Antivirus/Firewall). Hover over them and
see what date/time they were created. You can delete all except the latest
two that were created when you switched your computer on for that day. They
should all be 32 kB in size.

But they shouldn't be disrupting your work?? Just manually delete them
every few days.
