I did answer it. Go back and check the posts again. It's your reading
skills!

Check the time stamps. My usenet server didn't show your answer until
after I posted that.

You can always wipe that drive on your spanking new Dell and install
98SE on it.

Or you can stop yer bitchin'... which would be less work.

I'd rather follow yer very own illustrious lead of bitchin and being a
wiseass.

And even DOS 3.3, and DOS 2.0, too.
(Maybe even DOS 1.1, but that one's a fading memory).

Yeah, but Bill did a live satellite feed for the release of 5.0... and
I got a free t-shirt too.

Nor does it make any sense to buy into "old is always better" either.

It is if you're an old dog like "Bill in Co." and can't learn new
tricks!! 8-D

Satellite feed? What the hell is satellite feed? I'm on dialup. Old
school values - patience.

Except there probably aren't Win9x/ME drivers for any of the new mobos. Oh
well, life moves on.

Went to a local hotel to watch a video feed that was sent via
satellite.

Did you hear that Lincoln got shot and died from the wound?

I can't remember now. I think that was too far back, and my memory ain't
what it used to be.

But 4.0 was a turkey ;-)

That's why there was a big hoopla when 5.0 was released.

At hotels in selected cities across the country, MS reps hosted big
get togethers where attendees could watch a live video feed on a huge
projection screen with Gates and someone else talking about the
features and demoing them on screen.

Afterwards, attendees could buy the new version and get a t-shirt
bragging about being at the release party.

As I recall: something froze on the computer being used for the demo
during that feed... which brought much laughter to the room.
