Device Manager

My device Manager is not working. R-clicking on one the devices and
clicking properties results in the Device Manager window results in the
window going into a "not responding" state. I have change some of the
settings in Services (Local) from auto to manual. The following services
are disabled: Human Interface ..., SSDP Discovery Service.

What services does the Device Manager need?

Hello!
As you tweaked some services so not sure what exactly you
have done except those cases which you have mentioned.Look
at Event viewer; you will know the exact reason.

I guess I am not smart enough to know the exact reason. I found the info
provided by the Event Viewer totally useless. The details of all the
errors stated Windows XP as the application that had the error, but not
what XP was trying to do when the error occured.
