Device Manager...Port Settings

Hello again,
I want to change the COM-Port settings (COM number) in device manager
and I'm logged in on my xpe image system with administrative rights.

-> Device Manager...Ports...Properties...Port Settings

As soon as I click the "Advanced..." button the following message occurs:
"You must have write privileges in the registry for this device in order to
modify the device's advanced settings."

Why??? I am the Administrator...
Is another component lacking? Which keys in registry have to be added or changed?

Thanks to everybody for all useful answers!

Hello, it's me, myself.
I've heard that XPe is lacking some registry keys, XPe doesn't have the same keys as XP Professional. But that's not the reason for my problem. The reasons are missing or wrong permissions to the COM port keys in the registry:

hkey_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\enum\root\pnp0501

For each COM port there has to exist a sub directory. Click right mouse button to pnp0501 and change the permissions (for all sub directories).

Now it works - I have access to the "Advanced..." button window! Great!!!
