Device Manager Missing?????

Stan Kay

I have tried to open up the Device manager in my Windows XP pro SP2
installation but all I get is the following message:-

"Snap-in is not created, it may not be installed properly.

Name:Device Manager

CLSID:{74246BFC-4C96_11D0-ABEF-0020AF6B0B7A}"

Can anyone please tell me how to fix this problem?

Try running this:

"sfc /scannow"

This will restore all corrupted files to the original versions.
