Device Manager error

Please help me!
I am having a problem getting into Device Manager on win xp. When I try to
open it it comes up with an error report message for Microsoft Managment
console and when you click send/dont send it comes up repeatedly with: "

The instruction at "0x745c7e87" referenced memory at "0x745eafec". The
required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of
"0xc0000010".

Click on OK to terminate the program
"
Then it goes away and the device manager doesnt open. Any ides?
