Device Locks... ???

Hi:

I am looking for a software that will allow me to lock devices such as the
CD-RW, USB ports, preferably freeware. If freeware isn't available, kindly
point me to a vendor that offers this type of software.

Wint Windows 2000 or XP you can lock down hardware through group
policies.

The old adage of "You can give a man a fish and feed him for one day,
or teach him how to fish and he can feed himself for life" applies
more than ever these days in that give a man an instant answer to his
computer problem and usually he will seek the same instant answer for
all potential computer problems, but teach him to use a search engine
and he can more oft than not fix any computer problem he might
encounter with his machine. Plus the fact that he learns by doing as
well, and one is never too old, nor too young to learn.
