I have all Office 2007 programs set to show developer tab on the ribbon. It
does NOT show in Outlook, even tho it is set to in Tools, Options, Advanced,
Show Developer tab. When I installed my Office 2007 Standard I noticed that
Outlook does NOT have a ribbon like the other programs do. I would like to
create a macro to run in Outlook and according to the help feature, it needs
to be done thru the developer tab. How can I get the tab to show? Is there a
switch to make it show up? I have all programs current and up to date with
all MS Office updates.

I believe Outlook has even 19 Ribbons. But indeed not in the main interface.
The Developer tab will show if you open a new item/message.
In the main interface it is still the same as in the previous versions of
Outlook and other Office applications;
Tools-> Macros

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I did discover that even tho the show
developer tab is checked in Tools, Options, Advanced.....it still needs to be
checked in the Office button, Popular for it to show up. Just one of
Microsoft's little annoyances. Now off to do that maco.

Your welcome! :)

Just as a side-note; those options should be in-sync as it is the same
registry key ;-)
Even when you change it in Word while having an email message open, the
change is instant.
