determining recommended actions for each detected threat

Help! I have installed the new Beta 1 version of
Microsoft Anti-Spyware, Build 1.0.615. The scheduled
scans do not happen, and when I do a manual scan, it
scans all the folders, and then says "Determining the
recommended actions for each detected threat", but it
never ends. The green blocks just keep going to the
folders, but nothing happens. What is wrong here? The
old version would do the scan, and then I could click on
a button to give the go-ahead to perform the recommended
actions.... I am running Windows XP. Help! The pop-ups
are coming back....

That's ugly. Do you see any other oddities about the user interface--any
missing items?

For example, if you go to Tools, advanced tools, system explorers, do you
see the list of system explorers in the left pane?
