Detecting Proxy Settings

Too often when coming out of standby the above message freezes my computers
access to the internet, and I have to restart my computer to get on the
internet....using Win2oooPro on a Dell Inspiron 8ooo laptop.....how do i
avoid this????

If connected to network: Make sure your network adapter
settings are correct and are the same as the gateway or
router. If stand alone set to automatically detect proxy.
