In Explorer, under "View", select "Details". From "Tools"
in Explorer, open "Folder options", click "View",; in
scroll window make sure "Remember each folder's view
settings" is selected, click on "Apply to all folders".
Should work.(Will make Control Panel have details, too, so
you might want to change the View for CP)
