We are trying to configure an XP Pro system logged on locally. We set Icons, Background, screen resolutions etc

The systems are set up and shipped to different sites were they are connected to those sites logged in to a domain. When users are created the domain provides the desktop themes

The question is can I somehow have the local themes for the Local Administrator be used for all even when subsequently logged on to a domain

Or is they a batch file or other utility that can be used copy the Desk top theme, background, Icons etc

You need to set the default profile to be the local administrator account if that's the one you want to use - use regedit and go to HKLM\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion\profilelis

change the DefaultUserProfile name from Default Use

We actually set up all of our systems this way now - just make sure whomever is logging on is an administrator on the computer - otherwise it doesn't take all the settings (including your background choice, program setttings and so on

Best of luck
