desktop shortcuts

When I send to my desktop a shortcut for a web page, the
shortcut is created along with the link in properties,
but it only opens a blank page saying that the link
cannot be found!

I'm confused on this. Any help!

I'm sorry, but I have to ask: are you on line when you're clicking on
the shortcut? And how are you making the shortcut?
