Desktop reboot while downloading

I have a XP profressionnal newly installed on my Desktop
I use Dial-up "US Robotics 56K" modem to access internet
While downloading large file (> 1Meg), an Error Message Appear : Problem with "Remote Prodedure..." and my desktop reboot after a few second. No problem while surfing internet or check e-mail
Any help

Note : Because of this problem, I cannot install any update from the XP update site (including the most important Service Pack 1)

Does it say it is initiated by the NT Authority?
If so, you've got the Blaster worm.
