Desktop problem

Hello everyone, I know this may sound stupid to you but I
am having a problem on my desktop. First, I have a
folder task bar on the left side of my desktop. I don't
know how to get it to go away. I have tried looking in
the folder options and no luck. Second, I can not drag
and drop my icons on my desktop. The same thing with my
quick launch bar I can't rearange anything or even drag
and drop something from the desktop in to the trash bin.
I looked in the sub-menu and auto arrange and align to
grid are not checked. I have been trying to fix these
for a couple of days and i don't know how to do it. Can
anyone help me? If you can help please email me at
(e-mail address removed) Thanks

Tim

Assuming XP! You dont say which Op system. Are you Classic mode?

Right hand mouse button over task bar, click on "Properties", click on the
"Start menu" tab, click on "Customise" or "Advanced' and depending which
mode you are in you can enable or disable features - one of which is drag
and drop.

Good luck.

Sorry about that. I am running XP but not in classic
mode. And drag and drop is already enabled.
