somehow I have managed to get one subfolder of photos from my photos into
the list of picture available for sues as a desktop in
Contolpanel/display/desktop/background. I have a shared computerwith some
shared files so I don't want these photos in there. Any ideas on how to
delete them? I have tried a "search" and then deleted the searched files but
this did not work.
Help!
cheers

From a post by John Inzer...............

By design, all images in your My Pictures folder
will be available in the Desktop Background list.
If you wish to remove your images from this list
all you have to do is move the images to a different
folder outside of the My Pictures folder. A New
Folder in My Documents...for example.

To move the contents of your My Pictures folder...
open the folder and go to...Edit / Select All...
In your "Picture Tasks" pane...choose "Move the
selected items"...

On your "Move Items" screen...choose or create
a new folder and left click the "Move " button.

I have noticed that if I exceed 100 images in My
Pictures the files no longer show in the Background
list. There may be a way to edit this number but I
don't know how.

If you wish to delete all the images in your My
Pictures folder...open the folder and go to...

Edit / Select All...
File / Delete...

When the dialog box says...

Are you sure you want to send these XX items to
the recycle bin?

Click "Yes".
