Desktop - lock in place?

I am using different profiles in startup - can you transfer one desktop
arrangement into another profile?
How do you stop the icons from moving, the little buggers trade places at
the worse of times.
I also have NVIDIA Display that complicates matters. Let's assume this is
disabled for this question.

all set to say thanks until I checked the link and found the advise on
Kelly's with a dead link to an ftp site; unless my pc is preventing my access
to the zip file that is

Ok, if you skip the link and back up to LOCK DESKTOP ICONS and click on the
title then you can follow along and use directions to make it a lovely day in
the neighbourhood..ta da - Thank you
